The larger insight here is that only 3–5% of your total addressable market is ready to buy at any given time. The remaining 95% is not. Traditional cold outreach was about spraying and praying to the entire 100%, but signal-based selling is about identifying that 5% first, and then going directly to them.
It’s all about using your first- and third-party data intelligently to pinpoint that 5%. That’s the signal-based selling approach.
